Brett Favre, Jordy Nelson going into Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame
Former Green Bay Packers Brett Favre and Jordy Nelson will be inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame.
Favre and Nelson make up the 70th anniversary class of the Wisconsin hall. The induction is scheduled for June 5, 2020, in Madison.
Favre, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, is one of the top players in NFL history. He is the only player to win three consecutive NFL MVP awards and holds the record for 297 consecutive regular-season starts at quarterback. He was Packers quarterback in Super Bowls XXXI and XXXII, winning the first of those.
Favre played 16 of his 20 years in Green Bay. He holds NFL records for pass attempts at 10,169 and interceptions at 336. Favre threw for 71,838 yards and 508 touchdowns.
Nelson, who retired in August, played nine seasons for the Packers and one season for the Oakland Raiders. He holds the record for receiving yards in one season for the Packers, 1,519 in 2014. He caught 550 passes for 69 touchdowns while with the Packers.

The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame, founded in 1951, was the first state athletic hall of fame. Among 143 coaches and athletes in the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame are Hank Aaron, Oscar Robertson, Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr and Bonnie Blair.
